The Wilmington School of Ballet was formed to bring dance as an art form to students of all ages, body types, and abilities, instilling a life-long love of dance. It is our purpose to use dance training as a vehicle for learning the life skills of discipline, teamwork, self-esteem, and excellence. Our vision is to provide pre-professional training for the serious minded dancer while simultaneously giving an equally rich dance experience to the more recreationally minded or less gifted dancer. Reaching out to the community and opening opportunities for the less fortunate is a core value of the school. Ultimately, the heart of the school rests in nurturing young people to be healthier, stronger, and more capable human beings.

In addition to our highly acclaimed Creative Movement and Classical Ballet programs, we offer Modern and Jazz. Students will enjoy exploring the world of Broadway style dancing and performance, perfecting their technical skills in a non-competitive environment. Costumes, dances, and music will be tastefully selected and families need not worry that their children will be dressed in age-inappropriate attire during performances. Current students are invited to expand their dance curriculum to include these classes. Of course, new students are always welcome in all programs at the Wilmington School of Ballet and Creative Arts Center!
